Odeceixe is one of those pretty villages which shouldn’t be missed. It is a charming jumble of traditional whitewashed houses scattered over the hills with the sea as a stunning backdrop. The Cellar Museum, situated on one of its quaint streets, is both interesting and informative. The museum has reconstructed the atmosphere of a traditional winery and cellar. The main church, which has some fine 17th century statues, is worth visiting. There is an interesting 16th century seven-sided font in the Manueline style.
