The Church of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios is a grandiose building dating back to the 18th century. The church was finished in 1778. Inside, there are three naves and the chancel is impressive with sculptured woodwork enhanced by statuary and paintings. One of the main treasures is the 18th century statue of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, beautifully sculpted in local cedar wood. On of the towers on the façade, built at a later date, has a plaque which translates as: Built with the alms of worshippers 1898.
