The Church of Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres was built in the Manueline style in 1672. This interior is beautiful with its key feature being the main chapel, which is topped by a dome with a skylight. The chapel is decorated with 18th-century azulejo tiles and has large paintings with intricately carved wood and gilt frames. The body of the church has a magnificent fresco painting on the ceiling. Next to the church is the museum of sacred art which houses a variety of historic religious artefacts.
