A short trip south of the village of Monte da Saúde takes visitors to the little chapel of Nossa Senhora da Saúde (Our Lady of Health). Built on a hill, this chapel rewards everybody who makes their way up here with outstanding views over the village and the islet. Constructed in 1910, at 189 metres above sea level, the hermitage is considered to be one of the most interesting miradouros (viewpoints) of the island.
