The 16th-century Baroque-style church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição has a gilded wood-carved chancel and a beautiful mortuary chapel engraved in gold and a sacristy with furniture from the 18th century. Built in the Manueline style, which celebrated the maritime power and manifested itself in the architecture, sculptures, paintings and other works of art made of precious metals, faience and furniture, this church should not be missed. The azuelo tiled panels depicting religious scenes are typical of the era.
