Negrito is a quaint fishing village that was once an important whaling area with the entire town involved in the trade. Apart from the fort, the village itself is worth visiting. The quay has been transformed into an attractive bathing complex, with rocks forming a beautiful natural pool. To celebrate its former glory during the whaling era there is a monument and the fort has been converted into a museum where the ancient whaling equipment is displayed.
