Parque Florestal Luís Paulo Camacho is not far from Santa Cruz and has a wide range of botanical plants. The has a pretty picnic area and a small zoo containing exotic birds such as pheasants, widow-birds, Japanese quails, mandarin ducks, finches, New Zealand parrots, parakeets and various domestic birds, as well as a group of deer. The park’s viewing point gives a superb view over the reservoir formed by the dam of Ribeira da Fazenda.Parque Florestal. The park also has a small trout farm next to the entrance.
