The Museu do Relógio de Serpa (Watch Museum of Serpa) has a collection of over 1,800 different timepieces. These range in age from the 17th century to the present day. The museum has already attracted almost 300,000 visitors to Serpa. The Museu do Relógio is the only one of its kind on the Iberian peninsular. It is housed in a ten room section of the Convento do Mosteirinho. The convent dates back to the 16th century. There are guided tours available and a café and other facilities are on site.
