The Garden of the Terceira Duque, located in the centre of Angra do Heroísmo, is a pleasant area for relaxation. It is only a few steps from the town hall to this beautiful garden, which was created in 1882. It possesses an incredible variety of species in the well cared for displays. Innumerable flowers and plants from all corners of the world, among which magnolias, azaleas, lemon trees, ferns, eucalyptus, dragon trees and palms are on show. There are also fountains, a small lake and a café-pavilion.
