Monte de São Felix is just outside the small town of Laúndos, which is about 7 km northeast of Póvoa de Varzim. At 202 metres, Monte de São Felix is the highest point in the Rates Mountains and offers panoramic views. There are several windmills, some of which have been converted to holiday homes, the São Felix chapel and the Nossa Senhora da Saúde sanctuary, both of which have their day of pilgrimage. The approach stairway is set in attractively laid out gardens.
