Moledo do Minho has been a famous tourist resort since the beginning of the 20th century and is often chosen by the elite in preference to beaches of the south. It is in a beautiful position, surrounded by the Mata Nacional do Camarido protected area. It is somewhat windy with strong waves, but ideal for surfing throughout the year and for wind surfing in summer and is also suitable for body boarders. It is a blue flag beach with facilities for the disabled. Other facilities include showers and umbrella hire.
