The Moinhos de Santana Recreation Park in Alto do Restelo gets its name from the windmills inside, although these work for demonstration purposes only. The more than 12 acre Municipal Park has not only large grassed areas, trees, picnic areas, gardens, lakes and a waterfall, but also a wide variety of recreational facilities which will amuse all ages. These include a children’s playground, skateboard circuit, roller-skating rink, a fitness training circuit, a bandstand and an open-air amphitheatre seating 180.
