Located to the south of Senhor da Pedra beach and about 11 km southwest of Vila Nova de Gaia, the large and popular Miramar Beach is close to one of Portugal’s oldest golf courses. The beach is broken by rock formations and leads on to the less popular, dune protected beach of Mar e Sol. Both are EEC blue flag beaches with lifeguards on duty in season and facilities for the disabled. The average seawater temperature in summer is 16 ºC. Parking is available, umbrellas can be hired and there are bars, cafes and restaurants.
