The Miradouro do Sitio do Portao is one of the best viewpoints on Corvo. Situated some way above Vila Nova do Corvo, the Miradouro (lookout spot) is reached by a steep zigzagging road. Just after the fourth zigzag you will find a small house and from here the viewpoint is only another 150 metres further on. From the Miradouro one can enjoy a wonderful view over Vila Nova do Corvo, surrounding cliffs and the port bay. The ascent is laborious, but well worth the effort.
