The beaches just south of Baia beach range from Marbelo in the north, which hosts volleyball, handball and football competitions, to Coste Verde in the south. In between are Pop, Azul and Seca beaches. In this area beaches are often locally known by the names of their nearest café or restaurant. Lifeguards are on duty in season, there are facilities for the disabled and the average seawater temperature in summer is 16-18 ºC. Umbrellas can be hired and there are bars, cafes and restaurants.
