Located about 29 km north of Funchal, on the north coast of the island, is the Madeira Theme Park which opened in October 2004 on a 17 acre site. This is one of Madeira’s top attractions and there is plenty to interest and amuse all ages whilst learning about Madeira’s history and culture. Relive the discovery of the island in a novel way, travel around on a replica of the Monte train or boat on the lake. Amongst other attractions, there is a water mill, labyrinth, children’s playground and you can bungee jump, wall climb or cable slide.
