Located in the tropical gardens of the Pestana Casino Park Resort Hotel, the Madeira Casino, the only one on the island, was designed by the internationally acclaimed Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer (b.1907). It has recently been refurbished to the highest standards and with the latest machines. On the 5th floor is the Bahia restaurant, which stages international shows and on the ground floor you will find the Rio restaurant, both have discos. In addition there are the Palm and Copacabana bars and the latter has a resident live band. All the traditional gaming facilities are available.
