Also known as the Conventinho Museum and located approximately 36 km north of Lisbon, the Loures Museum is on the Quinta do Conventinho estate which has magnificent gardens and fountains. It also includes the Espírito Santo chapel and the cloister of the 16th century Convent dos Arrábidos. The museum displays archaeological and ethnographic items, 19th and 20th century furniture and agricultural transport and implements. There is a kitchen and herb garden used for educational purposes and workshops for special activities. Temporary exhibitions are also staged.
