Lavadores beach is at the start of an unbroken series of sandy beaches stretching for many kilometres to the south. It is also an excellent place to begin walks along the coast. An EEC blue flag beach, it has lifeguards on duty in season and an average summer seawater temperature of 16 ºC. Parking is available and there are restaurants, bars and facilities for the disabled. The beach is suitable for surfing and body boarding. Umbrellas can be hired.
