If you are travelling through the beautiful Serra da Estrela or planning to visit Seia and its toy museum (see separate entry), you may wish to add some variety and adventure. At km 38 on the Estrada Nacional 231, about 33 km south east of Viseu is the Kartodromo Serra da Estrela which has the magnificent backdrop of Portugal’s highest mountain range. This 600metre high quality track, illuminated at night, offers 200 cc karts and has a shop and bar where karaoke and dancing take place.
