Ilhéu das Cabras is situated near the southern coast of Terceira. It is a group of two volcanic rocks, with high cliffs covered in vegetation and is an important nesting place for sea birds. Forming part of a Zone of Special Protection, the rocks are a rich place from the point of view of the ecology due to wealth of the fauna and the flora. This is an excellent place for divers because of the very exuberant and varied marine life. There is a grotto with an average depth of 24 meters below the water level presenting wonderful opportunities to explore the deep rocks.
