The Parish Church of Reguengos de Monsaraz is a stunning structure, with a main façade reminiscent of an iced wedding cake. Built in the nineteenth century in the centre of the town, it is particularly interesting for the romantic spirit displayed during its construction in the neo-Gothic style and the interplay of different colours brought about by the combination of the stone and the whitewash of the walls. Different to the usual Portuguese style, this is one church that visitors will not forget once seen.
