The Parish Church was inaugurated in 1889 and is dedicated to Santo Eustáquio, the patron saint of the pleasant town of Alpiarça. The impressive twin towered façade and the 17th century paintings inside make it well worth a visit. Outstanding is the Divine Shepherd displayed in the sacristy, it depicts a young Jesus conversing with a sheep. There is a stone cross in the courtyard which is dated 1515. Alpiarça was inhabited in prehistoric times as is evidenced by the burial sites of the Meijão and Cabeço da Bruxa (Hill of the Witch) on the outskirts of the town.
