The Igreja do Colégio, built in the mid-17th century, was attached to the former Jesuit college. Also known as the Nossa Senhora do Carmo, the church has many notable features in the interior, including the gilded carved woodwork altarpieces, the 16th century Flemish panels, the 17th-century religious statues and set of azulejo tiles as well as the glazed-tiles panels from the 17th and 18th centuries it boasts one of the best collections of Dutch tiles outside the Netherlands.
