The Horta do Ourives (Silversmiths) dates from the 17th century and has the "tesouro" roof tiles and bay windows with wrought iron bars, typical of the period. Next to the main building is an octagonal chapel, built in the 18th century, which is said to be among the most interesting examples of baroque architecture in the Algarve. The Horta do Ourives was once a farm and opposite stands the Casa das Figuras (House of Figures), formerly a farm building, which has a mortar work border decorated with winged dragons with human faces, dolphins and a Moor’s torso.
