The Água d’Alto Beach at Vila Franca do Campo is made up of two Blue Flag beaches with fine sand. The first is small, but with lots to recommend it, including a bar service. The second is a much frequented volcanic sandy beach which is very popular in summer. This also has bar service and both beaches are supervised. There are attractive natural tidal pools for bathing. The area is very attractive and the beaches are set in pleasant landscaping. Parking is available.
