The Praia da Galé is an expanse of sand that stretches for miles between cliffs. In the direction of Albufeira there are two small, quiet and little visited beaches, both of great natural beauty, called Praia de Galé Oeste e Leste. In the areas where the sand has accumulated more heavily, mainly at the western end, the typical vegetation of sand dunes can be seen, and to the east, the dominant features are rock formations. There is parking at both Galé Oeste and Galé Leste. There are restaurants and toilets. Both beaches are supervised during the bathing season.
