A trip to Fuseta wouldn’t be complete without visiting the bustling fishing port and boatyard. Every morning part of the daily catch can be bought in the harbour side market. The promenade alongside the small harbour is an absolute delight, with benches under the shade of palm trees provided for tourists and locals alike to enjoy the view. Further are the saltpans, which have been in existence almost since Fuseta was founded. Vast rectangular pools of shallow water reflect the sky. Also worth visiting are the springs of 0lheiros, which are reputed to have medicinal properties.
