Feteira, in the southern district of Horta, has an interesting headland called Ponta Furada, a lava arch scooped out by the sea. All along this coast one finds a series of grottoes and marine caverns, making a perfect refuge for birds. A visit by boat around this headland is recommended. The parish of Feteira is made up of rivers and streams and has five historic bridges, São Pedro, Porceirão, Igreja, São Pedro and Ponte Nova. Feteiras also has churches worth visiting, as is the nearby beach.
