The Termas da Fadagosa de Nisa (Fadagosa de Nisa Spa) is located in a region where the Tagus joins with Nisa for more than 40 km. This is an area of great natural beauty. Nearby, there are several important vestiges of the roman presence and of rupestral (rock) art, the most outstanding example of this being the Megalithic complex of Sao Gens. The waters of the spa are said to be helpful in cases of diseases of the respiratory system, rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases and endocrine and metabolic diseases. The water is sulphurous, bicarbonated, sodic and fluorinated.
