The Museu Etnográfico da Misericórdia de Alvor (Ethnographic Museum of Alvor) gives visitors a wonderful insight into the everyday lives of past generations of Alvor residents. The exhibition shows the most important activities of the people that lived and worked the land, with particular reference to the agriculture and the fishing activities. If you have any interest in how the people of this region lived before the advent of tourism changed their lives so completely, this museum should not be missed.
