The Polo Museológico do Esparto has exhibits of the esparto cycle, the components used in its preparation, and examples of the finished product. Twisted "esparto" grasses and palm leaves are woven to produce a wonderful variety of goods, from wickerwork to cane baskets, hats and mats. There are also exhibits of lace and embroidery, copper utensils, as well as domestic and decorative earthenware. The museum’s aim is to showcase the craftsmanship of the men and women of the municipality using traditional materials, motifs and techniques. There is also an exhibit of an Algarve country kitchen.
