Entradas is a charming Alentejo village about six miles north of Castro Verde. It is an enchanting place to drive to and so enjoy the Alentejo countryside. In the Praça da Liberdade (former Largo da Igreja) is the parish church of the village. Originally constructed in the 18th century, it has a high white façades with its bell-tower at the back. The altar in the main chapel, composed of black and white marble and enhanced by the whiteness of the walls, is considered the most valuable of the entire Beja district.
