At Tojais, just outside the village of Padornelo about 3.5 km northeast of Paredes de Coura, is the interesting Igreja de Ecce Homo. The single nave church was built in 1776 and its bell tower was added in the 19th century. The rich internal decoration is Rococo with Portuguese influence. One of the features of the church is its carved granite font which, beneath the royal crown, has the coat of arms of Gaspar of Bragança (1716-1789), Archbishop of Braga and son of King João V.
