The Anta Capela de Pavia (Dolmen Chapel) was dedicated to São Dinis in the 17th century. It is one of the many megalithic Portuguese monuments adapted to the Christian religion, thus converting a pagan place of worship. The inner chamber was transformed into the nave of the chapel. Although the chapel is the main attraction, Pavia has three other churches, the Parish Church, the Miseriacordia and one dedicated to St Paul. There is also a museum devoted to the town’s history.
