Located 11 km northwest of Ovar, the large Cortegaça beach is near a campsite. The beach has a fishing tradition and often has strong waves and good conditions for surfing and body boarding. The beach is flanked by dunes and pine trees and is an EEC blue flag beach with lifeguards on duty in season and facilities for the disabled.
