This chapel once belonged to the Compromisso Marítimo, an association for sailors and fishermen. It is built on a trapezoid plan and has its origins in a 16th century building. Inside is a carved and gilded retable, paintings on the ceiling and altar panels and 18th century statues. The tiles on the main altar and in the sacristy date from the 17th century, as does the statue of Nossa Senhora das Ondas (Our Lady of the Waves). The arms of King Manuel, the Marquises of Vila Real and the Counts of Alcoutim (16th century) are shown on a side wall.
