Take the Avenida Abel de Lacerda southwest out of Caramulo, for two superb viewpoints and picnic spots in the Serra do Caramulo. About 4 kms along the road you will come to the Cabeça da Neve summit at 970 metres; continue along this road for about another 3 kms and you will find the signpost to Caramulinho at a height of 1074 metres. Both points offer panoramic views of the various mountain ranges including those of Estrela and Buçaco and the plains between. For the young at heart, there is an aerial slide at Caramulinho descending 300metres.
