Situated on a deep inlet and protected by the cliffs of Monte Brasil, the Silveira wharf is an old Portuguese fishing port located in Angra do Heroísmo, in the south of Terceira. Serving an ample bay, with a coastline of volcanic basaltic rock cover formed from the volcano that gave birth to Monte Brasil, the harbour is an extremely attractive place to visit. Near to the wharf is Cais da Silveira, a welcoming bathing area suitable for families and with good support facilities.
