Cabeço de Vide is a quiet Alentejo town, but very interesting. Starting with a thermal spa, believed to date from the period of Caesar Augustus period (119 B.C.) to the local bull ring, the town has lots to offer. In the Largo Espirito Santo stands the church of the same name, a beautiful building of typical Alentjo charm. Cabeço de Vide has two other churches worth visiting, the Chapel of Nossa Senhora das Dores and the Igreja de Miseriacordia. Just outside of the town’s perimeter is the old railway station and, within the town, the clock tower is also worthy of mention.
