The Kartódromo de Baltar, located 16 km west of Penafiel, was conceived as far back as 1975 by a group of 20 enthusiasts. Today it sports a top class circuit of 1,023 metres with a constant width of 8 metres, stages competitions, caters extensively for youngsters and provides facilities and training for up and coming karters. It also organizes other activities including hiking, cycling, paint balling and sniper hunts. An opportunity for a fun family outing and there are on site catering and bar facilities.
