Avencas Beach is northwest of, and adjacent to, Parede beach and is surrounded by cliffs. As a result of its marine fauna and flora, it is due to be declared a site of special biophysical interest. The beach is reached via the tunnel from the car park on the north side of the Avenida Marginal. There are lifeguards on duty in season and the average seawater temperature in summer is 17-19 ºC. Umbrellas can be hired and there are café, bar and restaurant facilities.
