Located approximately 4 km northeast of Curia is the town of Anadia, well known for its fruity red classic wines, which you can taste at one of the noted cellars. Important attractions are the palaces of the Count of Anadia and, on the outskirts of the town, the 18th century Paço da Graciosa. The José Luciano de Castro museum is at 29, Rua Dr Alexandre Seabra and nearby at Sangalhos, the Cabeço da Mama is believed to have been a Roman hilltop fort. The 18th century Santa Ana chapel, above Mealhada, has an interesting altarpiece formed of columns intertwined with vine leaves.
