Aljezur Municipal Museum is divided in two different areas: Archaeology and Ethnography. Both are sited in the Old City Hall, once home to the town council. The Archaeology section contains objects that trace the history of human settlement in Aljezur municipality from 7,000 B.C. to the Bronze Age and then to the Moorish occupation. The Ethnography section has a very interesting collection of farm objects used by the local rural population through the ages. Adjoining the museum is the Aljezur Municipal Gallery, which hosts temporary art exhibitions.
