Located on the corner of Rua do Outeirinho and Rua da Reboleira, this building is a very interesting example of 14th century civil architecture. Although new widow openings have been created, it still has its tower battlements and ground floor gothic windows and portals. The area had other tower protected houses, most of which have now disappeared. The present construction dates from 1688 when the building became the home of the Pedrossem family. It has been used in subsequent times as port wine exporter’s offices and the English Hotel (1862-1872). Now fully restored, it is a day centre for the elderly.
